Central Hudson’s Peak Perks Custom Savings Program
Earn rewards for saving energy on your terms.
The Custom Savings Program pays you for reducing energy use during a handful of high-demand periods each summer. There’s no equipment to install and no change to your daily routine — you decide what to turn off and how much to save. The more you save, the bigger your reward.

HOW IT WORKS
1. conservation events happen a few times each summer
Conservation Events run June 1 through September 30, weekdays from noon to 8 p.m., and last up to four hours — never on weekends or federal holidays. Most seasons have just two or three events.
2. you get advance notice
We notify you about 24 hours before an event, and confirm the exact start and end times at least 3 hours ahead.
3. you decide how much to save
During the event, turn off whatever you don’t need. You’re always in control — the more you turn off, the more you can earn.
4. your savings are measured
We compare your energy use during the event with what you would normally have used. The difference is your savings.
5. you earn your reward
You earn $50 for every kilowatt saved, credited to your bill or sent as a gift card after the season — on top of the $25 sign-on reward you receive just for enrolling.
